So, Jacob has been accepted to attend BYU-Idaho. We are happy that he chose to go here because we can save lots of money. Since Tony works for the college, Jacob either gets half tuition for all 4 years, or full tuition for 2 years. Jacob can also live at home if he chooses. He will be on the Fall-Winter track, so his summers will be free for work, etc... He wants to go on a mission, and turns 19 in October, so we will see if he actually attends college this fall or defers it till he finishes his mission. This is terribly scary for me, but I'm also looking forward to more growth for my son!

Heavy Vests
Here is a project that we are finishing up in Relief Society. These are weighted vests that are going to be used in the school district for kids with autism, ADHD, etc... Jacob had a weighted blanket and he used it till it wore out... something about the weight has a calming effect, and helps the wearer to sit still longer and pay better attention. So, our Relief Society is making 20 of these, in assorted sizes. There is velcro on the sides for getting them on and off easily, and there are 8 pockets around the bottom of the inside. In these pockets we put little bags filled with buckshot :) for weight. Depending on how many weights you use, the vest can weight from 1-8 pounds. I am also using this project to pass off a requirement in my sociology class!
